I despise long tangles of cables. These take care of that problem for me. I use one in my truck so that when it’s not in use, it dangles nicely without getting caught in the seats, tuck-away cupholder, or the console lid. It also looks pretty cool, like a cord for a CB radio handset or something. I also have one next to my bedside. My only complaint is how tight the Micro USB end goes into my phone. It’s an HTC One M8. So far I’ve had no problems, but if this had been my old Motorola Droid Razr the little “tongue” (for lack of a better term) inside the receiving end of the Micro USB port on the phone would have been toast a long time ago. Although, now that I think about it – that tightness could be a good thing since it doesn’t allow the plug to wiggle around when it’s connected. Hypothetically this would prevent “tongue” damage.
The connection to my phone is solid enough, and the cord is heavy-duty enough that I could probably lasso my phone around the room and it wouldn’t come off the cord, and the cord wouldn’t break. Overall a good purchase.
